La Fiammante San Marzano PDO peeled Tomatoes need little introduction among the connoisseurs.

This variety originates from the small town of San Marzano sul Sarno near Naples, and it was first grown in volcanic soil in the shadow of Mount Vesuvius.

Thinner and pointed, with a much thicker and a bright red flesh, fewer seeds, and a stronger, sweeter and less acidic taste; these are the characteristic of San Marzano tomatoes, enhanced by the skilful transformation into peeled which preserves the fragrance and the scent of this ancient tomato.

San Marzano tomatoes, along with Pomodorino del Piennolo del Vesuvio, have been designated as the only ones that can be used for the authentic Neapolitan Pizza.

One story tells that the first seed of this tomato came to Campania region in 1770, as a gift from the Viceroyalty of Peru to the Kingdom of Naples, and that it was planted in the area of San Marzano sul Sarno.

The selection of the best Italian tomatoes along with the constant monitoring of the entire production cycle guarantee the very high standard of this product.
