Barilla Egg Cannelloni 250g
Historians agree that Cannelloni (Italian for "large reeds”) was among the first pasta shapes ever created.
The large hollowness of Cannelloni makes it one of the most suitable pasta for rich sauces and fillings.
Cannelloni are a typical Sunday main dish in the Emilia Romagna Region, also known as the Italian food valley.
What makes Barilla Egg Cannelloni special are the 100% grade A free range fresh eggs, the porous and delicate pasta sheet. The egg gives the pasta a golden colour, which in a few minutes of cooking takes on an elastic structure capable of binding better to the sauce.
No pre-cooking needed. Ready in 30 minutes.
About the producer:
For us, food must tell a story.
For 145 years, we've turned family recipes
into timeless tales of the changing times.
Our past keeps inspiring our future.
Barilla, The Italian Food Company since 1877, is based in Parma, Emilia Romagna (Italy), and have been a family-owned company since then, and as a family-held company, they have only one way of doing business: caring for people and the environment.
Celebrating four generations of good food, what brings them together is the desire to feed the future.
Our recommendation:
Usually, cannelloni are filled with a ricotta cheese and spinach filling and then covered with tomato sauce.
Another version is with a Bolognese sauce filling and topped with bechamel and tomato sauce.
