Mutti Pizza Sauce with spices is made using 100% Italian sun-ripened tomatoes, harvested at the right stage and then blended with aromatic basil, oregano, onion and salt.  

The gentle and even heat temperature used during the preparation preserves the nutrients and natural goodness of the tomatoes.

The result is a dense in texture and bright in colour sauce, which spreads evenly on your pizza base giving it an enticing aroma and rich taste.

About the producer:

Mutti’s long love story starts in 1899 in Parma, a town which lies in an area called the ‘Food Valley’, located in the Emilia Romagna region - north of Italy. Many worldwide known products come exactly from this small but wonderful Region (Parma ham, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, balsamic vinegar of Modena, just to mention a few).

Giovanni Mutti, the founder, was a farmer ahead of his time in his use of the sidereal system, which is also used these days in organic farming. After many experiments, Giovanni managed to innovate it by introducing the crop rotation technique. This allowed the soil to recover its nutrients while cutting down the need for natural and chemical fertilisers.

120 years later, Mutti still grows their tomatoes in the very same land, with the main variety being the ‘Rotondo di Parma’, keeping the same identical values: quality, transparency and reliability and even though they are working with over 400 farmers, they know each others names – as they are part of a family.

They constantly work together and try to further develop their farms with the use of innovative systems, in order to improve their irrigation techniques to save both water and energy, protect the environment while still obtaining the best product they possibly can.

Ready to be used as it is, this sauce is ideal to be spread on your pizza base.

We also like it for the preparation of pasta sauces and meat dishes!

Directions of use:

Store in a cool dry place.

Once opened keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days.
