Terre di Altamura Lentils 400g
Terre di Altamura Lentils are rich in iron and protein.
Cultivated in the Apulia region (south of Italy), this lentils contain antioxidants, which help against cholesterol and aging.
Lentils are used worldwide in many different dishes and are frequently combined with rice, which has a similar cooking time, sometimes combined with chicken or pork.
This legume is therefore ideal to prepare an inexpensive and nutritious meal.
In Iran, rice and lentils are served with fried raisins. This dish is called adas polo.
In Italy, the traditional dish for New Year's Eve is Cotechino served with lentils.
In Western countries, cooked lentils are often used in salads.

Our recommendation:
Rinse thoroughly and place the lentils in a saucepan (1 glass of lentil per person).
Cover with cold unsalted water.
Add some onion, carrots, celery, one tea spoon of tomato paste and a couple bay leaves.
Bring to boil and cook for 20-25 minutes over low heat.
Once cooked add salt and pepper as per your taste.
Your lentils will be perfect as a side for your meat dishes and can also be the added to your salads.
Directions of use:
Store in a cool dry place.
